I was Ripped off

It just happened to me about 30 minutes ago. I can't do anything until tomorrow morning, since they're closed now. I feel so stupid and I just hope that they refund me my $79.95.

Ripped off $39.90 for supposed $1.00 charge to change address

About 3 weeks ago I attempted to change my address on the computer through the USPS and somehow got hooked into losing $39.90. I was told there would be a charge of $1, so I said, "Fine". Now I don't how to contact them to get reimbursed for this fraudulent charge.

Today I thought I was changing my address with official post office site. Realized too late that it was Changemyaddress. Called and I kept yelling fraud. Had to settle for refund with a charge of $1.95 just for the change of address. Hope the address does change. The site should be illegal. No where did it warn me I was charging $80. If the first card I tried to use had not sent me fraud warnings, I would have been aware of the mess for a while until my Visa bill was available. Fraud {{Redacted}}

Extremely deceptive business practice -- submitted change of address for my husband (as our last names are different). I submitted my own through USPS (in the post office) but was told I could do it online for $1. This site came up FIRST and the form was similar (if not almost identical) to the one I filled out in the post office. They mentioned the $1 fee but buried (somewhere) the whole 79.95 fee. I had submitted the request on June 16 and it posted on the 19th. Tried to call, but was put on hold for over 30 minutes and I had to hang up as my baby needed to eat. Called back later, and they were closed. I want my money back, and have already notified my bank. Will submit report to BBB as well.

Frustrating, but settled

I, like many others here, thought this was the USPS site. I was pretty pissed finding an $80 charge on my checking account (which then incurred a $24 ISF fee), BUT I called them the next morning and asked to cancel everything, and they were quite accommodating, pleasant, and didn't argue. For how pissed I was when I saw my bank account, the customer service over there made for a nice resolve. I felt I should write this review to compliment their service department for being understanding, kind, and helpful in helping me back-step out of this mess. Maybe their service is worth it for some people, I'm not sure, but be aware it's gonna cost you. And here's some more words so I hit the 100 word minimum limit I need to

I went to changemyaddress.org and they asked for my credit card. I thought, well, they'll inform me of the charges before I am through. Suddenly I was finished and there was never any notice of a charge. So I thought there was not any charge. I got my credit card bill and they charged me $79.95! On their website it claimed that you could get a full refund if you called within 30 days. I called within 10 days and was informed that the service was already rendered so they could only refund half of what they charged. Both these problems should be illegal. I see others have had the same experience. This company needs to be shut down before they screw even more people.

Change my address .org

When I typed in USPS - change my address .org comes up but it acts like it’s changing your address- only it’s not- it’s charging you $79 instead of the $1 you should be charged. Why is this company still allowed to do this??

Scam Charged 59.00 instead of 1.00 from USPS.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
just received my monthly statement from February. As I was reviewing the statement I noticed a 59.00 charge. It was from your service that made me think I was dealing with the government postal service. This was what I call " theft from deception" In Illinois that is not legal. I need a refund ASAP. keep a dollar but I expect a 58.00 refund. R. Brindac.

I was charged $59.95. For what???

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I, to, was duped by this ChangeMyAddress.org site. I had clicked on the heading that said FREE USPS mail forwarding/address change. I filled out the information and thought that I was paying the standard $1.00 for Temporary mail forwarding. Two days later, my credit card info shows a charge of $59.95. There was never an email confirmation for my forwarding request or anything that would justify such an outrageous charge. I immediately contacted my bank to issue a dispute of the charge. Does anyone know if contacting this bogus company will get me my full refund? And, how do I know if the mail forwading is actually in effect?
